Requesting a sub on a full server issue

I clicked on the sub request pyro button. I became the sub but couldn't join the server as it was full (report reason was AFK). I joined mumble and 2 other sub pyros were there unable to join. More report pyro messages kept appearing.

I think there is a bug that needs addressing.
