Pre-ready up system!

Ok,so I would like to suggest the 'pre-ready up' system, you join a lobby, and you can go afk, play a pub...It's way better than this 'WHO IZ NOT READY' system ;) my opinion ...Let me know what do you think!

get rif off the "who's not ready" thing

Because i personally think it's quite useless because sometimes u just wanna join the lobby and play the game and then autojoin while you are playing or do something else while you are waiting. well it's just me

The main idea behind "ready system" prevent AFK players joining the game. If we'll allow everybody to join freely, there is a great possibility that someone will be AFK when the lobby starts. Our system isn't ideal and we continue to figure out the best method to filter AFK players. We leaves your idea here and we'll see how much votes it will collect.

UPDATE
We're looking to implement a short pre-ready-up. Basically being able to ready up whenever, but it will expire after a few (3-5) minutes. It will allow people freedom to leave their machine / not sit watching, but also ensure that when game starts they should be around.

Update:
Short Pre-Ready up system implemented.
Idea status: completed

Definitely disagree with this suggestion. Having people ready once the lobby fills is an excellent feature preventing people from being AFK. One of the best features in TF2center atm

I feel like the ready-up system makes lobbies take forever to start. There needs to be some sort of punishment for being AFK when the lobby fills - perhaps you get reported just as you would for leaving the lobby once it starts. If you think about it, what's the purpose of reporting people who leave a lobby? It is to punish and filter out those who do not join a lobby with the intention of actually playing. AFK people waiting for the lobby to start fall into this category as well - and deserve the same consequences.

Just moving people to spec is not sufficient to keep people from going AFK while waiting for a lobby, since there are no real consequences. If you want to actually discourage this behavior - which I think only makes sense - then there must be punishment for it.
